AID Roobaroo Paintings






Dr. Prabhakar Subrahmanyam is an Aerospace Engineer by education, a Scientist at Intel by profession, Painter and Photographer by passion, an Ornithologist and avid hiker by interest. A self-taught painter with a distinctive unique style, he is on a mission to raise awareness and visibility about birds that are at the brink of extinction, gifts of wonderful nature through vibrant colorful paintings and portraying life of common man on the streets. His paintings range from water colors, poster colors to oil-on-canvas and acrylic-on-canvas. To top it all, he does not take a single penny for himself from his paintings. Prabhakar has been donating his paintings and their re-prints for various charity organizations around the world to support their noble causes. During the 2005 devastating Tsunami in South-East Asia, his exhibitions raised 000 in relief funds. He has graciously given 100 matted re-prints of his paintings to AID. Suggested donation for each painting is or above. All proceeds go to support AID projects in India.
