Danielle Dax - Jesus Egg That Wept (Side B)

Side B of Danielle Dax' second (and, as some people say, best) album. All songs on the album were written and produced and most of the instruments were played by Danielle Dax, with some collaboration by David Knight and Karl Blake. The album was originally released in 1984 on Dax' label Awesome Records and re-released in 1993 on Dax' Biter Of Thorpe label. Today it appears to be out of print and used copies are rare and sometimes quite expensive. The cover artwork is apparently a video still from Holly Warburton's film "The Chimera". Side B has a sound loop recorded into the locked groove, that is what can be heard here in the last approx. 40 seconds, just in case you wondered. Tracks included on Side B: Hammerheads (Danielle Dax - vocals, drums, tapes, keyboards) Here Come The Harvest Buns (D. Dax - vocals, synths, tapes, bottles, TR808, TV From the 1983 LP "Pop-Eyes") Ostrich (D. Dax - vocals, bass, kalimba, guitar, tapes Karl Blake - Shock-headed guitar solo) The Spoil Factor (D. Dax - vocals, keyboards, TR808)
