It is one of the worst things that can happen in airsoft. For as long as the rifle has been out, upgrade parts have only recently become available. These parts are "made" by Matrix and include an aluminum cylinder, an aluminum piston, and metal spring guide. Also, you can buy the cylinder kit which already has all of these parts pre-assembled, plus a spring. With extremely limited information posted online about the steel cylinder upgrade kit, I decided to buy one and figure out on my own if it would fix the slam firing. In this video, I prove that it does indeed fix the slam firing. For how long it will last, I do not know. I'd hate to find out that the parts wear down quickly and need to be replaced again. I could probably write a whole bunch of stuff on this kit but I think you should just watch the video and find out what I have to say. It's a good upgrade, so far, and I recommend it to anyone with the Echo 1 M28. I plan to make newer videos of this gun both for performance and to see how the new parts are holding up.
