Ecuador Choco 2009 Part 5

Part 5 begins near Tundaloma Lodge on the Carondelet Road where we see black-capped pygmy-tyrant, long-tailed tyrant, white-necked puffbird, smooth-billed ani, common potoo, rose-faced parrot, slaty-tailed trogon, white-tailed trogon, female masked tityra. We then return to Tundaloma Lodge where we have a lizard, pied puffbird, maybe masked tityra again, another tyrannulet, golden-hooded tanager, white-bearded manakin and a lizard. Next we go to the nearby Concepcion Road where we see another tityra, scarlet-breasted dacnis, rufous-winged tanager, a dragonfly, chestnut-mandibled toucan, mealy amazon, American pygmy kingfisher, green-and-rufous kingfisher, five-coloured barbet (honest!), a howler monkey and a tropical kingbird. En-route back to the mountains we stop off at Lagarte shrimp farms and see black vulture, black-necked stilt, grey plover, green kingfisher and pearl kite.
