"Swanee" finds a home:

Well, over 75 lbs. later, over a year of work learning ferrocement methods, reserving a Ford Escape from Zipcar to move the sculpture, borrowing a flatbed dolly from our building maintenance, alot of heavy lifting & pulling, we finally got Swanee installed on a rock near a pond on a farm directly on a Trumpeter swan flightpath...The nest she sits upon is 750 feet of water-resistant rope handwoven with a monkey chain knot by Sari on a hula hoop...It all got installed today because the weather is warm enough & will be there to greet the recipient for both Mother's day & her Birthday, which occur one day after the other...We are hoping Trumpeter swans will decide to land on this pond upon seeing the sculpture...Of course, a little wild bird seed will help that too...
