Great Egrets Mating.MOV

Video Rating: 5 / 5

I was watching one of the hammocks at Wakodahatchee Wetlands this morning, when one of the Great Egrets started this behavior that can only be described as bizarre. I knew immediately that this was part os their mating ritual and of course I started recording it with my camera. Once the Egret quieted down I moved on and wandered around the wetlands taking stills and video wherever I went. Later, when I returned to the same hammock, though at a different place on the hammock, I saw another or possibly the same Great Egret doing the same strange dance. I found the dance fascinating and somehow beautiful. I hope you enjoy the dance of the Great Egrets... Jim Music: Sonata in A major n°3 Op.69 (Scherzo: Allegro Molto) - Anne Gastinel
