A small flock of White-cheeked Starling (aka Gray Starling; Sturnus cineraceus, family Sturnidae) feeding on kitchen scraps at the backyard compost heap. Although I could not tell them apart individually, there seemed to be a pecking order among them. I've heard that an experienced birder can identify them from the subtle difference of white specle on the face. Mid-March 2012 in Japan.
