Ruby-throated orange hummer

Here's a slowed-down version in order to get a better look at a very pretty male orange tinted ruby-throated humming bird. He is very happy to sit for still photos, but getting him in motion is another matter.

Created on June 9, 2012 using FlipShare. My husband built a bird feeder that fits in the window.Got the idea from a video cerellebennett put up on youtube. From the outside the birds just see the reflection of the trees on the glass.This was right after it had rained.Yes, I was actually that close to the female Ruby-Throated Humming birds, my camera was not zoomed out. You can see the male zipping around in the back ground.
