KMShaji, 40, is the President of Kerala State Muslim Youth League, an effective orator and writer. He regularly contributes articles to leading magazines in Malayalam and very active in electronic media. Born to KM Beeran Kutty and PC Ayishakutty in Kaniyampatta, Wayanad District, Shaji was a student leader and office-bearer of Muslim Students Federation. Formerly he was Treasurer and General Secretary of Muslim Youth League. Former School Leader in Kaniyampatta Government high school, he came to foray of electoral politics in his Panchayath Kaniyampatta where he was the President of the Grama Panchayat for a short stint at the age 22. He has been associated with many organizations of community services like Wayanad Muslim Orphanage. Known for his deep commitment to the principles of the party and clarity of vision, he is a promising leader.
