For cryogenic positioning demands JPE has developed a piezo based linear actuator. This actuator is able to position loads of up to tens of Newtons in a range of several millimetres with nanometer resolution. The actuator has been shaped in such a way that it can be used in standard systems for optical benches. Features: - Linear displacement: 5 mm. - Speed: up to 100 micrometer/sec - Resolution: nanometer range. - Load: up to 50 N. - Vacuum compatible - Tested down to 2 Kelvin. - powerless position locking - high actuator stiffness - Antimagnetic materials - Mass: about 30 gram - Dimensions: round 30 mm x 9 mm. - Mini version: round 17 mm x 10 mm. under test program. - Computer or manual controlled electronics
