Officially presented Acer Iconia tab A200 - appearance at the end of 2011

Once we have the Acer Iconia Tab A200 seen and read, now comes the official announcement. On the technical data we return in a moment. First Google Android and the publication date. By the end of the year appears the A200, but with Android Honeycomb in selected regions.

The second shipment in January, Google Android Ice Cream Sandwich have installed and sold worldwide. At the same moment probably a software update for the Honeycomb user is provided.

The Acer Iconia Tab A200 should be cheap to buy, why is not the very latest integrated technology. Instead of the three Tegra platform, which operates two older NVIDIA Tegra platform in the Tablet PC. The multi-touch screen brings it to a size of 10.1 inches and reaches 1280 x 800 pixels in resolution. The internal memory amounts, depending on the model to 8 - or 16-GB and can be expanded via MicroSD. The only on-board camera is a 2-megapixel front camera. For cost reasons, dispense with the back camera.


The connectivity options include WiFi, Bluetooth 2.1, GPS, USB and a 3.5-mm jack. The surface is obscured by its own Android-based Acer ring surface. A price was not disclosed. Previously speculated to be 199.
