I would not decide biking down the Haleakala Crater/summit just looking at some nice videos and get tricked into it. It will be extremely cold, foggy, windy weather most of the time. Besides, there is always the risk of an accident because the road has so many sharp turns that you cannot see whats aroudn the corner until you maek the turn. We have seen some bikers coming down the hill.
