May 22 2008 - Easter is the sole eaglet to be born at the Norfolk Botanical Garden eagles nest. After a breeding season of much drama, this little eaglet has a growth on its beak and it was decided to intervene. A rescue for Easter occurred and he will be taken to a rehab center in Virginia to be biopsied by a Vet. It is doubtful Easter will return to the nest as he will need surgery. While the rescue occurred, Mom & Dad Norfolk hovered above. Now all we can do is wait.
